Reggie Jackson

Reggie JacksonReginald Martinez Jackson, more commonly known as Reggie Jackson, played outfield for four teams over his 19 year career in the majors. He would make the All Star team all but 5 years and would be a part of five championship teams, three with the Athletics and two with the Yankees. He was a clutch batter, especially in the post season for which he was given the nickname “Mr. October.” The peak of his career arguably came in 1973, when he won the AL MVP award, the World Series MVP award, as well as the Major League Player of the Year. He also led the league in home runs and runs batted in. Jackson was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1993, the first year he was eligible.
